Enrolling at our School

Before enrolling at our school it is important you take time to read our Parent Information Booklet that can be found below and then book a tour with Mr Weaver so that we can show you around our wonderful school.

It is important for you to see the school in action and feel comfortable that you understand all the programs that we can offer your child. When you are ready to enrol, follow the three steps below.  Please take note of the Department of Education Enrolment Timeline below to ensure your child does not miss out.

Department of Education Enrolment Timeline

The Department of Education has a statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Lilydale Primary School.

School Zones

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.  Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

Year 6 to Year 7 Transition

We are here to help make the transition from Year 6 to Year 7 easy on both you and your child.  Below you can find all the relevant information you may need.

School Zone

Students are guaranteed a place at their zoned local government school, which is determined based on permanent residential address. You can find your zoned school at findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.  If you are not in the zone of your desired Secondary School, please note that your child may not be accepted.

Application Process

Your child will receive a hard copy of the Year 6 to Year 7 Placement Packs at the beginning of Term 2.  This needs to be filled out and returned to their classroom teacher no later than Friday May 12th 2023.
