Science
Science provides opportunities for students to develop an understanding of important science concepts and processes, the practices used to develop scientific knowledge, of science’s contribution to our culture and society, and its applications in our lives. The curriculum supports students to develop the scientific knowledge, understandings and skills to make informed decisions about local, national and global issues and to participate, if they so wish, in science-related careers.
Our Science program, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0, nurtures curiosity, critical thinking and a love of discovery in every student. Through hands-on investigations and real-world learning, students explore key scientific concepts across biological, chemical, physical, Earth and space sciences. They develop important skills in questioning, predicting, observing and analysing, while learning to think like scientists. We encourage students to make connections between science and their everyday lives, fostering an understanding of how science shapes our world and future.
