The annual Lilydale Primary School Spell-a-thon was held on Tuesday. It was a great turn out with 99 students choosing to participate in the competition and parents/guardians watching in support. It was wonderful to see so many students taking on the challenge and having a go at some rather difficult words. Each year level that competed ended up progressing to the next level of words. Some words I think many of us parents would have difficulty spelling… Antarctica, entrepreneur and pneumonia to name a few. Well done to all the 99 students for having a go. All competitors will be receiving certificates at assembly on Friday. Congratulations to the following for winning their year level competition. The Spellathon winners are named inside this newsletter. Well done to everyone for having a go and competing in the 2019 Spell-a-thon. Mrs. Marion
